Newline: Q Pro Guide (Display Options and Document Camera)

Display:

• Hardwiring
  • Purpose:
    • You will be able to interact with your laptop via the touch screen board
    • You will have access to everything on your teacher laptop
  • How:
    • Using the cables provided, direct connect your laptop to the board
    • USB-C (the port on the back left side of the board provides power)
    • HDMI (if applicable)
    • Audio cable: connect to headphone port on both laptop and board (if not using HDMI)
  • Source Switching
    • If your computer doesn’t automatically show, click on Source
    • Choose the highlighted box where your computer is connected
• Casting
  • Purpose:
    • Wirelessly stream your laptop to the board
    • Cables are not needed
  • How:
    • Choose Newline Cast under Apps on board
    • Join using display note and the code provided
    • Touch capabilities are active
    • Can toggle between casting and onboard Apps by using the open applications icon on the sidebar menu

• Document Camera
  • You can direct connect the document camera to the board using USB
  • Open Visualizer App (under apps or in classroom tools shortcut on sidebar menu)
    • Annotation tools
    • Screenshot
    • Orientation
    • Touchscreen capabilities

• Extended desktop
  • For Dells
    • Hardwire your laptop to the board
    • Windows icon + P 
    • Choose Extend

• For Macs
  • Setting
  • Display
  • To extend, do not check bottom box

Whiteboard background customization:

Tap and hold + for two seconds to set the color and the pattern of the new page, as shown in the figure below.

Tap the icon to enter the options interface. 

On the FILE items, you can import data from file management, save whiteboard files and export the whiteboard page.

On the ADD items, you can import the pictures, Text, Sticky note, PDF document from system files, USB, network. You also can import the Search Image or Search Web in the internet.

On the TOOLS items, you can use rulers to draw line or shape on the page, import the visualizer image etc.

On the CANVAS items, you can choose split mode to set the split application window.

Accessing the Newline App Store:

On the Home Screen, tap on the “Apps” button

In the Apps Menu, tap “Newline App Store” to launch.

In the App Store, select the App you want to download.

On the App details screen, tap Install.

Shortcut for Clock:

Tap the time icon on the Home page to start the clock application. Using the icons on the top, you may switch from clock mode to alarm mode, or to timer and stopwatch mode. In the clock mode, you may tap  to add other time zones as shown in the following figure:
