Classlink Password Recovery Setup: While you're at it... please take a moment to set up your password recovery options and never be locked out of your accounts again! It's super quick.
Caution: It is best not to change your password unless you are on GCISD's Wireless Network, GCISD-WIRELESS. This is because your DISTRICT laptop's password will not sync with your ClassLink password until you connect to the network.
To change your password you need to be connected to the district network so that it updates the password change correctly. Below is a link for places you can connect to wifi from the parking lot without entering a building.

I) Do This First!
Log out of your GCISD Google Account on all devices.
1) Navigate to accounts.google.com, click on your profile picture, and go to Manage your Google Account.
2) From the menu on the left side, select Security. Scroll down to your devices and select Manage devices.
3) On each device in this menu, select the right arrow. Then select Sign out. You will be prompted to select sign out again and then select ok. Repeat until you are signed out of all the devices you can.
4) Last, from google.com, click on your profile picture and select Sign out of all accounts.
II) Changing Your Password:
1) Navigate to ClassLink and log in with your current password.
2) You should receive a prompt to create a new password.
3) Type your strong passphrase under the words, "New Password." Retype your strong passphrase under the words, "Confirm Password." Make sure it follows the complexity rules listed above.
4) Finally, scroll down and select Submit.
5) Restart your device and log in with your new credentials.
What if I don't receive a prompt in ClassLink?
1) If you don’t receive a prompt in ClassLink, from your ClassLink account, select the arrow next to your profile picture.
2) Select settings, then select the recovery tab.
3) From here, select the blue reset password button.
4) Type your old (existing) password. Type the new password. Type the new password again, then click Save.
Please make a note of the password requirements.
This will change your password for nearly all GCISD systems, including Google, Skyward, the district website, etc.
If you have a Mac, please do not restart your device and continue to the steps below.
If you are on a Dell device, please restart your device and then sign back in. THIS IS WITH THE NEW PASSWORD YOU JUST CHANGED TO.
III) For Mac Users Only:
A) Change your password in Jamf
Jamf looks like this:
1) You may have noticed the pop-up from Jamf Connect. Jamf connect is special software on a mac that syncs your computer’s password with your company password.
2) Wait roughly 30 seconds, If you received this popup, select update after you change your password in ClassLink.
3) If you did not receive the popup, once you’ve reset your password in Classlink, find the two boxes on the toolbar at the top of your screen.
4) Click on it and select Sign In.
5) In the pop-up, type your new password and select Sign In.
6) In the pop-up, type your “Local Password,” which is your old password. Select Sync.
B) Remove GCISD-Wireless:
1) Open the GCISD App Store.
2) Search for wireless. An option to Remove GCISD-Wireless will populate. Select the Install button underneath it.
C) To log back into GCISD’s Wi-Fi with your new password:
1) Select the Wi-Fi Symbol.
2) Select GCISD-Wireless.
3) Log in with your new GCISD credentials.
4) Select Join.
D) Restart Macbook
Restart your device and log in with your new credentials.
