FAQ
How do I clean my display?
- You can wipe dust and fingerprints with a soft cloth or microfiber.
- You may use sanitizing wipes or anything with alcohol.
- DO NOT USE bleach, ammonia, or harsh chemicals.
How do I connect my computer to the interactive display?
Keep in mind your interactive display has an on-board Windows computer built into it. This means you are essentially going from having one teacher computer in your classroom, to now having two teacher computers in your room. Because of this, it isn’t really necessary to connect your laptop to your display unless you have a special reason to do so. In this case you would need to either wirelessly mirror to the display or connect directly with HDMI & USB cords.
How do I mirror wirelessly to the interactive display?
To wirelessly mirror your laptop or iPad to the interactive display, you will first need to go to displaynote.com/join to download the correct software onto your laptop or ipad. Once you’ve done that, you will choose “Screen Sharing” on the display and enter the pin number as prompted.
What’s best practice to keep my Google Drive and passwords secure?
- Login to your interactive display prior to students’ arrival.
- Don’t leave your Google Drive logged-in to File Viewer.
- Resize your touchscreen keyboard so that it’s smaller and less viewable to students.
What settings are recommended for things to work best?
- Change your energy saving settings so that the display doesn’t automatically turn off while teaching.
- When using the built-in Windows computer, change the keyboard setting so that the keyboard automatically pops up.
- Hold down the PC button from the small blue side menu to close apps.
