On a Windows 10 device you can use the Photos app to create videos.
How to create a video in the Photos app that tells your story with music, text, motion, and 3D effects.
Create a video, automatically
The easiest way to create a video is to let the Photos app do it for you. In Photos, select Create > Automatic video and select the photos and videos you want to include.
Click Create, name your video and click OK to create a video automatically. Select Remix it for me. to instantly change its look and feel by recombining images, music, and styles.
For more control over how your video looks and sounds, select Edit a copy. You’ll find options for adding text, music, motion, filters, and 3D effects.
Create a video from scratch
To create a new video that you can edit from start to finish, select Create > New video project. Name your video and click OK.
Select the photos and videos you want to include by clicking Add on the left Project library box.
To change the look and feel of each photo or video clip you’ve included, select the clip at the bottom, and then select a button like Trim (for video clips only), Filters, Text, or Motion. To apply a theme that changes filters, music, text style, and motion for the whole video at once, select Themes.
Add music
To add or change the music for the whole video, select Music near the top. If you choose one of the recommended songs, the music will automatically adjust to the length of your video.
Add 3D effects to video clips
If you’ve included a video file as part of your project, you can add 3D effects to it (like a lightning bolt, sparkles, or butterflies that flutter through the scene). To do this, select the video file at the bottom of the video project, select 3D effects, and then select the effect you want to add. Drag the edges of the effect to adjust its size and placement.
To trim a video clip, select Trim , drag the white circles to where you want the video to start and end, and then select Done .
Share your story
When you’re done editing your video and ready to share, select Finish video. Choose a file size, and when it’s ready, select Share to social media, email, or another app .
