Embedding Google Slides in Canvas without the Control Bar!
Sometimes in Canvas, we want the control bar at the bottom of our Google Slides so users can easily view one slide after another.
Example:
Sometimes, like with a Bitmoji Classroom, the control bar detracts from the slide. This article details how to embed Google Slides without the control bar!
Step 1:
Within your slideshow, select File > Share > Publish to Web.
Step 2:
Select the embed tab, then select Publish.
Step 3:
Select command + C (Mac) or control + C (PC) to copy the embed code.
Step 4:
Go to the page or assignment in Canvas where you want to embed the Google Slides. Select edit to edit the page or assignment. In the Rich Content Editor, select the embed button in the toolbar.
Step 5:
Select command + V (Mac) or control + V (PC) to paste the embed code in the pop-up box.
If you want the Control bar at the bottom, select Submit and stop here! If you don't want the control bar at the bottom, keep reading!
Step 6:
Within the embed code, find the number 3000. (This is how many seconds the slideshow will run.)
Step 7:
After the number 3000 but before the quotation mark, insert the following text:
&rm=minimal
It should look like this:
Step 8:
Select the blue Submit button.
Your slideshow should now be embedded without the control menu at the bottom!
