Google has an alternate method of archiving and downloading your data called Google Takeout however we do not recommend it or support it.
These instructions cover exporting Google Drive content however the site also has options for exporting Gmail, Keep, Contacts, Chrome data, and Calendar which should be the only things that apply to your GCISD account. The process is the same for each.
Initiating a Google Drive Export
While logged into Google, go to takeout.google.com
Click Deselect All to the right of Products at the top of the screen.
Scroll down and select (check) Drive.
Click on All Drive data included under Drive to specify Drive folders (only those at the root level are available.)
(Optional) Select the preferred folders you would like to take. UNcheck Include all files.
Click Deselect all.
Select the desired folders then click OK.
Scroll down and click Next Step.
Select the Delivery Method.
Select the Frequency:
Select the File type & size.
Click Create Export.
Checking the Progress of the Export
While logged into Google, go to takeout.google.com:
Retrieving an Export
Find and open the Your data is ready to download email from Google Takeout.
From your personal computer, click the Download your files button(s.)
NOTE: The download link(s) will only be available for one week:
Select a save location such as a computer, flash drive, etc.:
Unzip the folder(s)
Mac | Windows
Upload the folder(s) to your preferred personal location
